Becoming a Member

What You Need to Know

If you have been worshipping with us for a while and would like to become an official member, or have questions about membership, please send us a message or contact Pastor Katy directly. There are a few steps to becoming a member:

  • Step 1: Short orientation time with the Pastor as part of becoming a member to get acquainted with the church, learn how to get involved, and answer any questions.
  • Step 2: Transfer membership from other Lutheran congregations, or affirm your faith.
  • Step 3: Be baptized, if not yet baptized.
  • Step 4: Be received and welcomed by the congregation.

Baptism is the gift of God’s promises of forgiveness of sin, fullness of life now and forever, and salvation through Jesus Christ, given in the name of the Triune God – Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.

Is God nudging you to be baptised or would you like to affirm your baptism and make St. Mark your home church?

Join other newcomers and Pastor Katy for a new Member Class.
